The numbers are increasing, she has 8 in total this week,
 learning phonics, essential word lists, 
and reading books,  at Level 1 and 2. 



Paired of into twos, and reading 3 books to  each other.
If you read well you get rewarded

We had a large down pour a few days ago
and may of the steams are in flood


We have decided to keep these 
window closed as 
water come down into
our flat when it rains


In the back ground are 2 classrooms 
that my sister and friends paid for.

The garden inspectors

Anzac Parade in Port Vila 
It was a 4.30am start this morning for the Jones, and the Vincent's, 
as we attended the service.




                                                       Vanuatu Brass Military Band, and
                                            speeches from the NZ and Australian High Commission,
                                          with, Ps Allen Nafuki also, delivering a speech and prayers


Corina is the Receptionist and VCH Dental and the first face the outpatients see,
 in the morning wanting and hoping to get an appointment to be seen for their toothache.
Patients arrive as early as 6am to be 1st in the queue, as patients are all issued with a number.


                                                    A great team effort today, Monday,
                                             with  Primilla and Gloria assisting the Dentists,
                               while Sonia took care of the washing and sterilising of instruments.
                                                It was a  7.15am start and by 10.30
                                                      we had seen and treated 26 patients

Dr Jeni who I work with at VCH Dental,  went on Maternity leave last week .
 Today was a Special Day when she texted me this morning with the Good NEWS  to say she has delivered a Baby Girl.


Born at 1.15am  this morning  Jade Leitonga Tangis.

We have our first harvest
from the KIWI garden, fresh,  and only 4  weeks from planting to eating 
MY hair goes crazy in the  wet and hot weather ...


Its so nice to work in a clean dry room when its raining hard outside.
 Saturday, a new student, Natalie who lives next door,  asked if we could help, with her homework.

                      While Neville helped her with her MATHS,  she was very happy and thankful.

This week Gloria was taken to Physio at VCH by DR Jeni, 
to see what the problem was, with pains in her Hip and back


I am very happy to find out its not my HIP

Gloria and Annette's reading  class on Tuesday got them rather wet again, so   
Gloria was given the room next door to move to, at the Korvan Centre.  for her after school 
classroom, They set it up yesterday ready for Thursday's students,
 a promotion to the Principle's office.  


The old classroom 
got very wet,  every time it rained,
as the water would come thru the ceiling panels and light. 
A few resourse's were lost. 



Neville's team are doing patch up repair's

A new roof is being planned,  to replace

When we were at Jensen house, we heard running water, 
and went to investigate,
and found the shower pipe 
was disconnected

Good Friday we were invited  to Lunch at Bladinar  with the Mr Willie and family
Lunch was prepared local style in the cookhouse.
Menu was Local Fish, Wild Yam, Rice and Island cabbage  


Willies Mother Mamma Winnie prepared a special fruit drink in a blender, 
 of Mango and Paw Paw 
with  no added Sugar 


25 Family members live here,
 so a special table was set for us to dine at.  

Aleisha was very happy, she got to dine with us.


Lending a Helping Hand



Hannagh  from Telmar who is overdue for her baby, was moved to Sutherland House Flat 3 during Cyclone Cook,  as it is very close to the Hospital.  Suffering from a bad toothache I took her to the Dental Dept, Grabbed Dr Samuel and we place a dressing in her tooth. She will have her tooth out after the baby is born




                       Good Friday Dinner we invited them in to share some local and kiwi food,
                                                 and made some special friends.
