 We have purchased 3 rocket stoves
for Talua Ministry training centre for the kitchen
for Jack and Kobi (NZ)


We wrapped them up and 
shipped them to Santo today
on the Big Sista


Is is good to get a easy parking 
at the wharf plenty of space

Fun with the after School kids Reading group.
Friday night was Movie and Pizza Night.
'Alvin and the Chip monks'



There was great excitement 
The pizza got gobbled up very quickly.




 


The children had made and iced a Chocolate cake, and bought it along  to share.




Sutherland House is the place to be, to try your luck at getting a ripe Mango. All day long Adults and Kids pass by,  in the hope of getting a Mango  from the the biggest Mango tree in the street.

This is the Health Centre committee 
at Liro village Paama 
We had a discussion about a mission team
coming in 2018

which is in need of some maintenance & repairs

When we returned  from Pamma Island our plans to 
travel by truck to the airport changed.
So we first went by boat


Then a long walk along the rocks


followed by a cool walk in the bush


followed by a plane ride to Port Vila 
The plane arrived  early so we were glad we got up before 5am

all in a days work in Vanuatu

 A BIG THANK YOU to Freddy

The ladies toilet at PCV has been painted 
To Maebry & Shirley and other women 
passed and present who said 
"Neville we need to fix the woman's toilet
Its done
Yes it took a while


Another small but important job completed  
This power box was fitted today so that a freezer can be installed
and we can have ice creams on the hot days


Mr Melten, he is a finance person,
 He has been a very important person for me
over the last 3 years
he has paid for the materials for overseas funded projects
and also he is keeping accountability of overseas funds
THANK YOU Melten.

Gloria found Sake working in Wilco hardware

Farewelling the NZ Dental team as they head up to
the Torres Island tomorrow (The northern island group)
Gloria & the Vila Dentist didn't get to go,
as there was a weight restriction for the aircraft.


We can see why the weight restrictions
so many full bags !!!
and they are on a small plane.


I had a 6am start today (Saturday)
We had a plumbing job to do with the team

Catherine, Jonathan's wife was smiling all day now her sink 
has been repaired & she can now use





The Hibiscus team from Auckland will be
happy to see this post being attached 
which they left us to complete.

The weather has been dry and we were able
to help this village group, as they had
run out of drinking water


We were out and about today

This is the house that ZarZar has built over the 5 years 
while he has been 
working with the RSE (vineyard work) in Blenheim 
The house has extensions added both sides

he is proud to have brought himself this truck
and provides a transport business in Santo

Living and life in the bush in Santo Vanuatu
Fishing from a fresh water pond 
The fishing was good we caught nine 


It was light a fire, grate some coconut, and cook our catch, in the bush after church service. 



                                                  Then enjoy some more MANGO


 Gloria spent a night in Luganville to catch up with friends,  and some 
who were helping out with the distribution of relief supplies to the evacuation centres. 
There were 56 camp site areas, located at schools, churches and Rural areas. to look after the Ambae village people.
                          This is the main depot, Red Cross centre at Samna Province in
 Luganville Santo where the supplies are distributed from.





Here I met up with Brenda Luan a youth worker ,who registered to offer help. 
She came to NZ last year with the PCV youth, to attend  the youth workshop 
sponsored by PCANZ Phil King, Neville and I hosted the team in Christchurch, 
great to see her again

 Supplies, and aide, had arrived from Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia
supplies of Rice, water, crackers, noodles, cooking oil, salt, toilet paper,sugar
   local Island kai kai, vegetables and fruit, were been loaded on the truck
 to go to the tent sites.
The Chinese shops in town were also very generous in supplying items .

  These are a few of the tent sites where the Ambae people are living


Gloria got to meet some of the Ambae people before leaving Santo
It was great listening to their story's 
The morales high and everyone was in good spirits.



Then it was time for some sight seeing at the 
blue hole


and a wee swim at Port Orly and Champagne beach
