"Water"
Children just love it


Here they are having a wash under the overflow from 
our concrete tank during a rain storm


This picture is a wonderful reminder
of what children like to do
 enjoying fun
and laughter in the rain


Both water tanks are overflowing again
during the down pour 
Temp 29 humidity 89%


Today we fitted a new water line to replace 
an old galvanised water pipe 
that was rusted out




I visited this house and I saw these home made 
children/s  play equipment
which was worth a picture




Some pot holes still exist 
and sometimes it pays to have 
a 4WD

The cheque for the missing water tank for Maliwo school
has finally been handed over from the shipping company 
that lost the tank in March 2016



Its taken a long time but we now will be able to purchase 
a new tank for Maliwo School 


Melten our finance manager was given the cheque 
to bank ( please don't bounce)

This is Max at Rongdale school receiving his new 
6000 ltr school tank from
Rotary Blenheim NZ





In the summer holiday Max built 2 temporary classrooms
to cater for the increase on students at Rongdale 
bush school


these are the other classrooms at Rongdale


The new 2 classrooms just been built 


the temp is still quite high at 29.6 at 10.30pm

Gloria donated a electric fry pan to the  Hospital Dental Clinic 
as they were needing one, 
so now everyday the men are producing 
yummy Healthy lunches for the team '' Brilliant ''


Gloria has been given a room at the Korvan centre, 
 next to where we live,  
she will teach reading to struggling students,
some being PCV Staff's grandchildren, 

She  also hopes to catch up with some of the Seaside Students
 from last year who may wish to attend ...
First class is Tomorrow Tuesday  after school

A Busy day for Gloria and Vila Central Hospital working with Dr Samuel 
he is NEW to the Dental Clinic,  a fantastic day working with him this morning...

She's a lovely smart young lady,
 who works hard and loves to learn.

Today it's about fitness & food
Gloria & I attempting the hill steps
a great way to keep our fitness up 



it raises the heart beat but 
feels great once you completed the climb


We went to the market to get fresh food



The avocado are large 
it takes two meals to finish them 


Jonny and Jobe found a freezer of fish
400 vatu a kilo
about $5.20 NZ a kilo


The cooks at Mangaliliu serving fresh fish and lap lap
also raw fish it was yummy


We had a meeting in the village and they 
served us a beautiful lunch

Gloria has been volunteering at a new PCV School, Malasitapu Freshwater as a Teacher Aide 
There are 35 students in the class and she is enjoying helping out at the School.
She travels by Quad bike and there is great excitement when she arrives at School.


          This is the Principle and teacher of  the class



                               LUNCHTIME and Gloria reads stories to some of the students.




Some special students were taught ABC and phonics today by Gloria, using assisted technology IPADS

                    Gloria made up some play dough to assist the students in number formation.
