I had a quick trip to Vanuatu for 3 days to help
with an up and coming project
Before leaving I met these two guys in Blenheim and they knew our
upstairs neighbour when we lived in Sutherland house
I was able to meet our upstairs neighbour (below) while I was in Vila
and tell him who I'd met in Blenheim.
Elder Jobe a work colleague at the PCV office
Here is Jennifer she was one of Gloria's after school students
she is still wearing a tee shirt Gloria painted.
I caught up with Ada who lived in Blenheim
for 6 months with the RSE team of workers.
we returned on the same flight to Vila but weren't
aware that the other was on the flight also!!!
Here we have some of Gloria students
Our old unit at Sutherland House
Here is a new Chinese building oppersite Hibiscus motel
now completed
Below is some photos of a project we are involved
with at Port Resolution, Its a new Presbyterian Church
being built.
Here the Village people are collecting sand from the beach
Like most things you need to do the hard work to get anything done.
The blocks were made with the sand from the beach
Another pile of sand for the floor
The floor has been completed
The walls are on their way up
Below are some photos of a water tank that was
donated from some people from Blenheim
and it was sent to the Banks Islands
The tank had been floated ashore from the ship.
The men are walking the tank to the truck
over the coral
The gutters were also sent
Another very pleased Village in the Banks Island
