What I have worked out!!!
When you need to get the attention of an older person
you say "Hello Aunty or Uncle"
you don't need to be related,
and they respond as you would if some said it to you
when someone calls you Aunty & Uncle you want to know who they are
so you quickly respond to their request or question.
It took awhile to work this out (I just thought they were all related)
