Neville & Gloria Jones on Mission in Vanuatu

HI everyone I am now back in Port Vila after a Two week outreach to Lamap Malakula.

No Power No Hot water,  Solar Light's ,Solar charge,  

It was great to spend time with  NZer's  Dentist Kylie L, and Therapist Celeste C (who is Adele Galloways sister  info for all you Blenheim people. 

A busy time for us all, screening school children,Village people, also  seeing 3 boat loads of patients from the Maskelynes Islands, and  exams  RO Pain to the local people of Lamap.

we were able to do Fillings, and Extractions 

Celesete worked on the children up to 18 years  screening 220 kids, protecting 67 teeth with Fiss  seals

filling 22 teeth  and extracting only 6 teeth  amazing work

 Kylie and Gloria were able to complete 115 extractions, some of which were  very nasty abscess's, Kylie also screening  some patients at the school and other villages 

I also spent time training the local nursing staff in Dental Assisting, and set up of a clinic,  and sterilizing procedures.

Sterilizing of instruments was done over a local fire in a pressure cooker 

 Celeste screening patients at a near by village  along with Kylie, Gloria and a Nivan nurse

 I also assisted Dentist Dr Mckenzie who is stationed at another Hospital on Malakula but came to take over from us  and treat patients for a week at Lamap , also James from Port Vila Hospital, worked with us two days, and is now  treating patients on another Island
