Today 6 Oct 2017 is the NEW Teacher's Day
it was held at the Vanuatu convention centre
The centre was full with over 1000 people
The President awarded medals to retired teachers
for their service to the education of children
Our dear friend Louwia Tony from South East Ambrym
now a retired Principle of Senai school
received a gold medal for her services
Willy Abuit is the President of the Teachers Union
he gave a wonderful speech and held the Govt in high
regard for how they are working with all the teachers.

The teachers received a prize for the best school banner
The roads and foot paths in are getting repaired before
the Pacific mini games in Dec
and the roads are sprayed with water to
keep the dust down but the heat rises as you
walk along the road.
Geoffrey has return to Port Vila after spending 5 months in
Blenheim pruning the grapes for the new season
and he is back driving his friends bus
we had a meal with him while we were back in Blenheim in August
